Warmup and Lucky Weekend
Dominion Black Casino tournaments use one format: the sum of bets. The winner is the player with the most points, and points come from the money you stake, not from what you win. A losing spin therefore counts exactly as much as a winning spin of the same size.
The two tournaments differ in timing and prizes. According to the casino’s listings, Warmup opens on Monday afternoon at 1 pm and closes at midnight on Tuesday, while Lucky Weekend, as the name suggests, runs over the weekend. The dates are shown on the casino’s tournament page, so check there before you plan your play.
How points are earned
Points grow with the size of each bet: in Dominion Black’s own example, a 5 CAD bet earns 5 points. Bigger stakes climb the table faster, but they also use up your budget faster, so decide on a spending limit before the tournament starts.
Points come from slot play. The tournament listings do not name particular games, and no minimum bet or deposit is set for taking part. Once you have joined, the casino simply tells you to play slots to collect points, and the slots lobby is where you find them.
The leaderboard is refreshed every 5 minutes, so the standings you see can be up to five minutes behind your latest spins. The same slot bets also add Comp Points in the loyalty program.
Prizes and places
Both Dominion Black prize pools are paid as bonus money. Lucky Weekend has a 700 CAD pool split across six places, and Warmup a 500 CAD pool split across seven:
| Place | Warmup | Lucky Weekend |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 200 CAD | 300 CAD |
| 2nd | 100 CAD | 200 CAD |
| 3rd | 75 CAD | 100 CAD |
| 4th | 50 CAD | 50 CAD |
| 5th | 25 CAD | 25 CAD |
| 6th | 25 CAD | 25 CAD |
| 7th | 25 CAD | — |
| Total | 500 CAD | 700 CAD |
Prizes reach your bonus balance after the tournament ends, not while it is running. The tournament page does not state a wagering requirement for them, so read how bonuses and wagering work at the casino before you count on turning a prize into cash.
Joining and leaving
- Log in to your Dominion Black account, or register if you do not have one yet.
- Open the tournament page and choose Warmup or Lucky Weekend, depending on which one is listed.
- Press Take part to enter.
- Play slots and follow your position on the leaderboard.
You can leave at any time with the Quit the tournament option, confirming with Yes, leave. Rejoining later is allowed, but every point you collected before leaving is lost, so if you only need a pause, simply stop playing instead of quitting.
Tournament standings stay on the tournament page. Top and latest wins at the casino have a page of their own, described in our guide to the Hall of Fame.
A leaderboard rewards the total you stake. Set your budget before you press Take part, and stop when you reach it, whatever your position.
Questions and answers
Is there a minimum deposit to enter a tournament?
No minimum bet or deposit is set for taking part. You need to be logged in, or to register first, and then press Take part. Every point still comes from your own stakes, so how much you play remains your decision.
What happens to my points if I leave a tournament?
They are lost. You can quit with the Quit the tournament option and come back later, but the points earned before you left are not restored, so you start again from zero. If you only want a break, stop playing without quitting.
Are tournament prizes paid as cash?
No. Prizes are credited to your bonus balance once the tournament has ended. The tournament page does not mention a wagering requirement for them, so read the casino’s bonus rules before you plan to withdraw anything won from a prize.
How often is the tournament leaderboard updated?
Every 5 minutes, so your latest bets can take a few minutes to show up in the standings. The order depends on points, and points come from the total you bet, which means a single big win does not lift you up the table on its own.
