How wagering is calculated
Wagering requirements at Dominion Black tell you how much you must bet before bonus money turns into real money. The multiplier appears in each bonus description, which also links to the casino’s Terms and Conditions, and it multiplies the bonus amount alone, never your deposit.
The casino illustrates the method with its own example. Picture a 50 CAD deposit with a 50% bonus and a 30x requirement: the bonus is 25 CAD, so you would need to bet 25 × 30 = 750 CAD. Those figures only show the arithmetic; the current welcome bonuses are 150% or 100%, each with 40x.
Applied to a real offer, a 60 CAD second deposit at 150% produces a 90 CAD bonus and therefore 90 × 40 = 3,600 CAD of slot bets to place.
When an offer is silent on the multiplier, the general terms set a default of 45x for casino bonuses. Each promotion is governed by the general terms plus its own promotional terms; where the two differ, the promotional terms take precedence, and where there are none, the general terms apply in full. Offers unlocked by a code follow the same rules; see how promo codes work.
- Bonus
- 150 CAD
- Deposit + bonus
- 250 CAD
- Slot bets to clear the bonus
- 6,000 CAD
- Free spins (first bonus)
- 150 (the 80 CAD deposit tier)
An example, not an offer: the cashier and the offer in your account show the exact terms. Wagering is 40x the bonus amount, only slots count, and for deposits between the 20, 40 and 80 CAD tiers check the offer.
The method behind each figure, a worked example and the same terms as a data file are on our wagering calculator page.
Time limits
A Dominion Black bonus lasts 60 days unless its offer sets a different period. If the wagering is still incomplete when that time runs out, you lose the bonus along with whatever it has won.
Treat 60 days as an outer limit rather than a promise. A bonus you never start using can be taken back by the casino sooner, so begin wagering soon after you accept one, or decline offers you do not plan to use.
Which games count
At Dominion Black, wagering can be completed on slots only. Bets on table games and other non-slot games leave the requirement where it was, so the slot library is where a bonus has to be played through.
Live games go further than not counting: opening one with a bonus active cancels your active bonuses, as the table below shows.
Roulette has an extra restriction during bonus wagering. Outside bets covering 24 or more numbers, which is 64% or more of the wheel, are not allowed; red or black and odd or even fall into this group. Winnings from such bets can be cancelled.
If a game malfunctions while you are wagering, every affected round and payout is void.
Do not assume a bet size is allowed: check the maximum bet shown in your offer before you play, and keep every stake under it while the bonus is active.
Separate bonus balance
Bonus money sits on its own balance, separate from your cash. When the requirement is met, Dominion Black transfers the bonus together with what it has won to your main balance, which is the point at which it becomes withdrawable. Your casino profile shows how far along the wagering is.
Until then the bonus cannot be cashed out, as our withdrawal guide also notes. Winnings from free spins, which the terms call Complimentary Spins, are credited as bonus funds as well and are generally subject to wagering.
One more limit belongs here: any ceiling on what you can cash out from a bonus is set by the individual offer, so read that figure in the offer before you start wagering.
Actions that cancel a bonus
Several things end a Dominion Black bonus early, and some cost you the winnings as well:
| What happens | Result |
|---|---|
| You request a withdrawal before the wagering is finished | The related bonus is forfeited and the bonus balance goes to zero |
| You start any live game during an active bonus | Every active bonus is removed |
| Your balance in a game drops to zero | The bonus is cancelled |
| The time limit runs out with wagering unfinished | The bonus and its winnings are lost |
| You use the bonus in a way meant to get around the wagering, such as accumulation-style play or play aimed at triggering bonus features | Bonus funds and winnings can be forfeited |
| The casino detects bonus abuse or bonus hunting | Bonuses and winnings can be cancelled, the account suspended or closed, and related payouts withheld |
A withdrawal request also resets your cashback, as our cashback guide explains, so check both balances before you send one.
Beyond these specific cases, the casino may hold back, cancel or confiscate bonuses, points, rewards and prizes if it suspects abuse, a breach of the rules or irregular activity. It can also change, suspend or end any promotion at any time without notice, and its decisions on promotions are final. For the rules that govern your account as a whole, see our overview of the casino’s terms.
Declining or cancelling a bonus
The simplest way to avoid bonus rules is not to take the bonus. When you deposit, Dominion Black shows the offer with Keep offer and Decline offer buttons, and declining leaves that deposit free of bonus conditions.
If a bonus is already active, you can ask casino support to cancel it, and the bonus balance is reset to zero. Cancelling in your profile works differently: it removes all of your bonuses at once, so check what else is running before you use it.
Whichever route you take, anything on the bonus balance is lost, so compare what you would give up with what is left to wager before you decide.
Questions and answers
What wagering applies if an offer does not state a multiplier?
The general terms then set the default: 45x for casino bonuses. A multiplier given in an offer’s own description takes priority over that default, so the bonus description is always the first place to check before you start wagering.
Can I cancel a bonus after it has been credited?
Yes. Ask the casino’s support team to cancel an active bonus and the bonus balance will be reset to zero. The cancel option in your profile also works, but it removes every bonus you have at once rather than a single one.
Where can I see how much wagering I have left?
Your casino profile tracks the wagering progress. It is worth a look before any withdrawal request, since asking for a payout while the requirement is unfinished costs you the bonus and empties the bonus balance.
Can I play roulette while I am wagering a bonus?
Roulette will not move the requirement forward, since only slot bets count, and the casino’s general terms also restrict low-risk roulette betting while a bonus is being wagered. Any live game, meanwhile, removes all active bonuses.
